Sometimes you forget which Apple Watch model you have, or need to know for other reasons. If you are looking to get an Apple Watch band or an Apple Watch cover, you'll need to know which model you have too.
In any case, if you don't know or aren't sure which Apple Watch you have, there are multiple ways for you to find out!
The easiest way is to simply turn your Apple Watch over and look on the back. There will be an engraving on it which will tell you which model and size you have. If you just see "Apple Watch" with no series after, then you have the 1st generation Apple Watch (also known as Series 0).
If you can't read the engraving because it is damaged, scuffed, faded, then you can go into your iPhone watch app and go to Settings → General → About →Model. Then you can simply do a Google search and your model should show up.
You can also follow Apples official support document for finding your Apple Watch model.
Once you find out your Apple Watch size,
You can select "38mm - 40mm" if your watch is:
- 38mm, Apple Watch Series 0, 1, 2, or 3
- 40mm, Apple Watch Series 4, 5, 6, or SE
You can select "42mm - 44mm" if your watch is:
- 42mm, Apple Watch Series 0, 1, 2, or 3
- 44mm, Apple Watch Series 4, 5, 6, or SE
