Hello! Since it is an elastic band, there's no other way to shorten the band but what some people have done to help make the band smaller is by twisting the band once to give it a tighter fit.

I like the white pearlized beaded Apple watch band very much. It is a nice dressier change from my regular beige loop.band . The expansion bracelet fits my 6" wrist perfectly: not too tight nor too loose. The dangling pendant bead was too much, though. I cut it off.

The iWatches have push-button changing for watchbands, but my fingers weren't strong enough to push the button. Neither could any of women in the Apple Store, but it's an older model, and the Apple guy to the rescue said it's better with the newer iWatches. I hope so. This bracelet band gives the watch a great new look, and I want more.
