Apple Watch to include new "Theater Mode" for Movie Goers

The upcoming WatchOS update (which hasn't been released yet) is set to include a new feature called "Theater Mode."  It's exactly what it sounds like, a mode to use when you're at the movie theater.

This is a neat little feature which will keep your watch from making any sounds or from lighting up.  You'll still get notifications however, but it will be through the haptic feedback (vibrations).

Another useful feature the theater mode utilizes is that it will disable your "raise to wake" feature which wakes up your Apple Watch when you raise your wrist.

This feature isn't a game changer in anyway, but it is a cool and convenient little function if you are an avid movie goer.

There's still no release date yet for the WatchOS 3.2 update, but be sure to keep an eye out for it as it should be released soon.

Thanks for reading and we hope you like our content from Anhem.

Hello! I was brought here by a Christian website and was instantly attracted to this blog post about your Apple Watch. I speak at a small Church in Southern Cypress and have seen several children wearing this watch (and getting distracted while I gospel. Something that I don’t mind at all!) I understand these children can be a little restless when listening.. hey, even Jesus was a little rebellious when he was younger as well!! Anyways, I am looking forward to this theater mode as I will be sharing this with the children and adults who own this Apple Watch. It is God’s wish that this feature should be shared to those who are unknowing. Thank you for your ongoing blog posts and being Christian-affiliated. God bless!
