Apple Watch Series 3 Keynote Highlights

Excited about the new Apple Watch Series 3?  It's been out for a few weeks now and you can get it for a price starting at $329.  Still don't really know what new features are on the new Apple Watch 3?  Keep on reading below to get the highlights from Apple's Keynote event.

Cellular Connectivity

One of the new biggest feature of the Apple Watch 3 is the built-in cellular connectivity.  Your Apple watch is no longer dependent on your iPhone.  You can leave your phone at home while you have your iWatch on you.  Receive phone calls, texts, and other notifications.  Apps run independently as well such as weather, GPS, and even streaming over 40 million songs from your wrist.

New Dual-Core Processor

The new iWatch packs a new dual-core processor that is 70% faster than the previous model.  This new processor is powerful enough to allow Siri to talk from your iWatch which makes it extremely convenient.

Apple-Designed W2 Chip

New Apple designed chip allows Wi-Fi to be 85% faster while being 50% more power-efficient for both Wi-Fi and bluetooth.  

Barometric Altimeter 

Self explaining.  Barometric altimeter lets you read flights of stairs climbed and elevation gains after a work out.  This will also be beneficial to skiiers and snowboarders.

Sizing

Even with all of these new features and hardware, Apple has somehow managed to keep the Series 3 watch basically the same size as the Series 2.  That's Apple doing what Apple does best.

Microphone

Apple has added two perfectly placed microphones on the iWatch that allows users to communicate with no distortions no matter where you are.  

Battery

Packs an efficient battery that will last you all day.

Environmentally Friendly

The Apple Watch 3 was built with the environment in mind.  They are as eco-friendly as a smartwatch can be.

Althought the new Apple Watch comes with cellular connectivity, you will have to pay a premium that will cost you $399.  If you opt for the non-cellular version, it'll cost you $329.  The non-cellular version still has all of the other features that's seen on the cellular version.

It's also important to note that if you plan on getting the cellular version, that you will also have to pay an extra $10/month for the cellular data to be active on your iWatch.
